The Coconet TV

Nesian Threads took place on Thur 3 July 2025, a dynamic runway jewel as part of the Whau Pasifika Festival: Kotahitanga.

Curated by the dynamic mother-daughter team behind Cokana Fashion (Ota Valu and Helena Cocker-Valu), it was a powerful showcase of local Pasifika designers, community-grown talent, and stunning repurposed fashion. It was a celebration of Moana Nui-a-Kiwa textiles, cultural heritage, and creativity that stitched generations together. MC John Pulu joined a cast of many including 30 models showcasing the designers below.

This night could not have been made possible without the hospitality and generosity of our venue host Mode Fabrics, the partnership of the Rosebank Business Assn and the incredible The Production Co. spearheaded by the inimitable Kasi Valu.
