Eleanor (Ellie) Ikinofo

Fakaalofa ahi atu. Our family was one of several Niuean families who settled in the Rosebank Peninsula after moving from Grey Lynn in the 1970s. Avondale was still part of Western Suburbs and the Whau river was called "the Creek". We grew up going through Rosebank Primary, Avondale Intermediate and Colleges. After a few years away, my lovely partner and baby daughter moved back to Avondale. I've worked for government departments, private sector and Pacific Islands business communities in the Pacific Islands. I've volunteered in various organisations from local village committees; school and club sports teams; community gardens and environment groups. I became a Whau Pasifika member in 2019 and even though I didn't get in, I enjoyed running for Whau local board in 2022, my thanks to all those who voted for me!
